With the holidays approaching, this marks the end of another beautiful season here at Bolduc. Once again this year, our products were featured in countless projects all across the country. Amongst all of these, some have definitely caught our eye more than others. Here are our top 5 favourites from this summer.

1. Antracite accents

The first trend that caught our eye is anthracite accents. Very popular this year, this concept is quite simple: install mainly light-coloured products and add a touch of contrast with a dark coloured product. The combination of colours creates a much desired high-end look!

2. Two-tone slabs

We spent many years seeing plain and light colored slabs being installed in the majority of backyards all across the country. However, this year, 2-tone slabs gained a lot of popularity. Whether grey, beige or both, these marbled-looking slabs stand out of the bunch to create unique spaces.

3. Japanese path stones

In the recent years, japanese inspired path stones were a rare occurrence in landscaping. This summer, however, they became more popular than ever. Why? They're fairly affordable, quite simple to install and they are the perfect way to enhance any exterior design and add a touch of "zen" to your backyard.

4. Steps with a natural stone finish

This summer, we witnessed the return of nature-inspired backyards. While the contemporary aesthetic was the most popular for many years, in 2019, many chose to harmonise their landscaping project with its immediate environment, for example, by adding steps with a natural stone finish. We love!

5. Large slabs

This type of slab continued to be all the rage this summer. Indeed, many chose it for its clean and luxurious look. Large-size slabs, such as our Citadin 65 slab, are simply a must-have for any contemporary landscaping project!
