The program is effective from December 24, 2015 to March 31, 2017 for a clientele living in municipalities with a population of under 15,000.
To be eligible, the customer must:
- Be owner-occupant
- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
- Have an income of $57,000 or less, depending on the size of the household
- Own a house whose standardized value, excluding the land, is less than or equal to $100,000.
The subsidy of the residence can be as high as 95% of the recognized cost for doing the eligible work, but not in excess of $12,000. The work must cost at least $2000 and must be aimed at correcting major defects to be identified by the municipal partner during an inspection.
Warning: Work done before authorization by the municipal partner is not covered.
